This retreat is designed to provide healthcare professionals with knowledge of the principles and procedures of ketamine-assisted therapy in a clinical setting.
Mental and Medical Health Professionals and Clergy. Participants will be able to incorporate the tools and practices offered in this program in ways beneficial to clients or patients.
Telos’ Core Competencies in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) offers participants a solid foundation for practicing KAT utilizing a combination of experiential and didactic learning. Our 4-day training retreat includes:
Didactic
• Overview of psychopharmacology and therapeutic use of Ketamine
• Overview of the Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) model
• Training in preparation, support, and intervention
• Preparation for practicing in the role of KAT therapist
• Working with special populations including Treatment-Resistant Depression & PTSD
Experiential
• 2 optional ketamine sessions (oral lozenges and intramuscular injection) with support by a fellow trainee and training facilitators (contingent on medical approval)
• 2 ketamine sessions in the role of KAT therapist within a larger group context
• Extensive group processing and learning

CE credit is awarded for instructional time only and does not include extended experiential sessions or meals.
CE credits for psychologists are provided by the Spiritual Competency Academy (SCA) which is co-sponsoring this program. The Spiritual Competency Academy is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Spiritual Competency Academy maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFT license renewal for programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.
LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFTs, and other mental health professionals from states other than California need to check with their state licensing board as to whether or not they accept programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.
SCA is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP16887) for licensed nurses in California. RNs must retain their certificate of attendance for 4 years after the course concludes.

In addition to the training itself, the total cost includes 4 days/3 nights (private room) and all meals at Cedarbrook Lodge (www.cedarbrooklodge.com) nestled in a secluded wooded area, yet only minutes drive from Sea-Tac airport. This training retreat takes into consideration the transformative effects of ketamine on an individual while inside an extended group experience over 4 days.
More than 60 days prior to the training start date: receive a full refund of tuition fees, minus deposit and 3% service fee.
After 60 days and up until two weeks from the training start date: receive a partial refund of 50% of tuition fees, minus deposits and 3% service fee.
Two weeks or less from the training start date: no refunds available.
All deposits are non-refundable. Under special circumstances, and at our discretion, the deposit may be forwarded to one future training.
